Police dog dies of exhaustion after rescuing 7 people
Brave and loyal rescue dog Dayko saved seven lives from the rubble of an earthquake in Ecuador before dying of exhaustion.

Dayko, a four-year-old white Labrador, was hailed a hero after finding seven people trapped in the rubble after the earthquake in Ecuador. Dayko even pinpointed the exact location of two bodies buried deep below, according toExpress.
Dayko is a rescue dog working for the Ibarra fire department and was one of many dogs deployed to Pedernales, an earthquake-hit area, to search for victims.
After hours of continuous searching in hot weather and lack of water, Dayko collapsed and died on the way back to base.
"Dayko joined our team when he was just one year old. From the first day, we were captivated by Dayko's compassionate eyes and friendly personality," said firefighters in Ibarra.
"Today, a friend has gone before us",Lieutenant Sari de la Torre speaks at Dayko's funeral.Fire department staff and other rescue dogs came to see Dayko off.
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Pedernales on April 16 killed about 650 people and injured thousands.
