Police fired tear gas to arrest drug criminals with guns

A suspected drug trafficker drove his car into a residential area in Huu Lung (Lang Son), forcing dozens of police to surround him and fire tear gas before subduing him.

On the afternoon of April 29, dozens of police officers surrounded and arrested a suspect hiding in a house in Met town, Huu Lung district, Lang Son province.

A local official confirmed the incident and said that police had blocked off the road and mobilized dozens of people to join the search.

Speaking to Zing.vn, people living near the scene of the incident said that they had heard many gunshots before. Looking out onto the street, witnesses saw police carrying AKs and pistols chasing the suspect.

"After that, dozens of riot police and criminal police were reinforced. A large number of people gathered around this area," said a source at the scene.

At the same time, a clip appeared on social media recording part of the incident. Initially, 3 armed policemen and residents chased the group of people hiding in a house.

As the police surrounded the house on the street, the clip recorded several consecutive explosions. Determining that the shooter had fled, the police continued to chase him into a small alley.

A man living nearby said the suspect was still hiding in the residential area. The four-seater car believed to be the suspect's car crashed into the roadside, next to a house and overturned.

On the same afternoon, Colonel Nguyen Trung Thuc - Director of Lang Son Provincial Police confirmed that the suspect had been arrested. The identity of this person was determined to be Tran Ba ​​Duc (in Lang Son City).

During the pursuit, the police mobilized forces, including tear gas. At around 5:30 p.m., the police arrested Duc and seized 4 packages of about 3.5 kg of crystal meth in the car.

According to the police, this man used 2 pistols, including a K59, to shoot back at the police. Luckily, no one was injured.
