Coast Guard stands alongside ethnic and religious communities in Nghe An.
On May 16th, Task Force No. 2 of the Vietnam Coast Guard, specializing in combating drug crimes, coordinated with other units to conduct legal education and awareness campaigns in conjunction with the "Coast Guard with ethnic minorities and religious communities" community outreach program; and presented gifts to Catholic parishioners in Van Kieu commune, Nghe An province.
The program involved the participation and support of the following units: Military Hospital 4, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4, NAMY Da Nang Co., Ltd., Dang Quang Real Estate Company, Chu Gia Food Import-Export and Service Co., Ltd., Thao Ai Co., Ltd., and the local government.
During the program, Task Force No. 2 for combating drug crimes directly disseminated information on the Vietnam Coast Guard Law and the Law on drug crime prevention, while Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4 disseminated information on the Road Traffic Safety Law to 500 people in the commune; and distributed more than 2,000 leaflets of various kinds.



On this occasion, the unit and its partners donated 400 national flags, 160 law books of various kinds to the People's Committee of the commune and the Party Secretaries and village heads; 80 cash gifts (each worth 500,000 VND); 100 helmets; 10 life jackets, and 30 lifebuoys to Catholic families and policy beneficiary families in the commune with difficult circumstances (each gift worth 200,000 VND)..The organization provided free health check-ups, consultations, and medication to over 200 elderly people in difficult circumstances.(Each health check-up voucher is worth 200,000 VND.

These activities have contributed to strengthening the close bond between the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Coast Guard in general, and the Special Task Force for Combating Drug Crimes No. 2 in particular, and the Party committees and people's authorities, ensuring strong security and political stability in the unit's area of responsibility, in anticipation of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth and the 79th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
