German police arrest two suspects in alleged terrorist attack plot.

Following the shocking truck attack on a Christmas market, German police have arrested two more suspects who were preparing another terrorist attack at a shopping mall.

According to the German newspaper Der Spiegel, two men born in Kosovo, aged 28 and 31, were arrested in the early morning of December 23 (local time).

According to the newspaper, police believe they were preparing a terrorist attack on a shopping center in Oberhausen. Police are currently investigating whether anyone else was involved in this plot.

All Christmas markets and shops were closed at the Centro shopping center on December 22nd as police conducted a special operation there, according to Der Spiegel.

On December 19th, a truck plowed into a crowd at a Berlin Christmas market on Breitscheidplatz square, killing 12 people and injuring more than 40 others.

The German Interior Ministry considers this a terrorist attack.

The nationwide manhunt for suspect Anis Amri, a 24-year-old refugee from Tunisia, is ongoing.

Amri's residence permit was found inside the hijacked Polish truck (during the truck attack). Police also found his fingerprints on the truck door.
