This morning (December 12), information from the leader of Hung Nguyen District Police said that Major Nguyen Xuan C - an officer of the Traffic Police - Order Team of Hung Nguyen District Police was transferred to Viet Duc Friendship Hospital (Hanoi) for treatment.
In addition to family members, the district police also assigned officers and soldiers to support the family.
Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at noon on December 11, the Traffic Police - Order Team of Hung Nguyen District Police coordinated with Traffic Police Team 1-46 of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police to set up a checkpoint to check alcohol concentration at Km18+300, on National Highway 46A, through Hung Nguyen town.
At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, a young man was driving a motorbike with license plate 37M1-944.86, without a helmet or rearview mirror, on National Highway 46A, heading from Vinh City to Hung Nguyen. When he saw the Traffic Police on duty, he accelerated to pass the checkpoint, driving into a Traffic Police officer in the team, Major Nguyen Xuan C. (born in 1986, officer of the Traffic Police - Order Team of Hung Nguyen District Police).
According to a camera recorded by a resident on the side of the road, the young man was driving very fast when he hit the traffic police officer. Although Major Nguyen Xuan C. tried to run to the side of the road to avoid it, he was unable to, causing serious injuries to his leg.
The young man who hit the traffic police officer on his motorbike has been arrested by the police. The case is currently being investigated by the Hung Nguyen District Police.
