Police fined female driver for allowing children to sit on the roof of a moving car.
According to a representative from the Hanoi Police Traffic Department, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 recently issued a fine to a female driver for allowing a child to sit on the roof of her car while it was in motion.
On the evening of October 17th, a representative from the Hanoi Police Traffic Department announced that Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 had just...draw up a penalty report.A female driver was punished for allowing children to sit on the roof of her moving car.
Accordingly, Traffic Police Team No. 6 received information on social media about a passenger car with license plate 30E-743.XX allowing children to sit on the roof while the vehicle was in motion on the road in Hanoi.

Through investigative measures, the unit identified the driver of the aforementioned car as Ms. D.NL (born in 1979, residing in Nghia Do ward, Hanoi) and summoned the female driver for questioning.
At the police station, Ms. L. admitted to her wrongdoing. She also stated that due to carelessness, she allowed her daughter to climb onto the car's roof through the sunroof while driving on Hoang Minh Thao Street. After realizing what had happened, she instructed her daughter to sit down and closed the sunroof.

Based on the verification results, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 issued an administrative violation report against Ms. D.NL for the act of "Carrying passengers on the roof of the vehicle," as stipulated in Decree 168/2024/NĐ-CP, with a fine of 5 million VND and a deduction of 6 points from her driver's license.
The Hanoi Police Traffic Department advises that allowing people to sit or stand on the roof of a moving vehicle is a dangerous act with many potential risks. Drivers need to raise their awareness of complying with the law to ensure safety for themselves and other road users.
