The seedlings distributed to the people must meet the following standards: 4 months old, over 40cm tall, with a root collar diameter of over 4mm, good quality, free from pests and diseases, and suitable for planting. To ensure the effectiveness of the seedling support program, technical staff from the unit surveyed and guided the people on how to prepare the soil, dig holes, ensure the distance between trees and rows, and on planting and care techniques.
By the end of November, the Pu Hoat Nature Reserve is expected to complete its plan to provide nearly 1.2 million saplings to 1,689 organizations and households, increasing the planted forest area to 600 hectares with a total investment support of nearly 1.3 billion VND.
