SEA Games 33 Update: Vietnam Wins First Medal

Ju-jitsu wins first medal for Vietnam.

The performance of the two Vietnamese Ju-jitsu athletes, Phung Thi Hong Ngoc and Nguyen Ngoc Bich, scored 47.5 points in the women's Duo Show event. With this result, the Vietnamese team ranked behind the two Thai teams, who scored 50.5 points and 48.5 points respectively.

The performance was just enough to bring home the bronze medal, which is also the first medal for Vietnamese sports at the 33rd SEA Games. This is considered an important starting point, creating more motivation for the teams to aim for the SEA Games 33 gold medal in the following days of competition.
