Based on today's USD/VND exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,445 VND/USD), today's world gold price is equivalent to 116.6 million VND/tael. Currently, the domestic gold price is about 15.4 million VND/tael higher than the world gold price.

USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 19: Banks increased
As of 6:00 p.m. on September 19, the USD exchange rate fluctuated in opposite directions, with commercial banks increasing slightly.
The State Bank announced the central exchange rate on September 19 at 25,186 VND/USD, unchanged from September 18.
With a margin of ±5%, the ceiling rate is determined at 26,445 VND/USD and the floor rate is 23,926 VND/USD.
The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Transaction Office is currently at 23,977 - 26,395 VND/USD (buy - sell).
At Vietcombank, the USD exchange rate increased by 20 VND for buying, remaining unchanged for selling, listed at 26,185 - 26,445 VND/USD. At BIDV, the exchange rate increased by 27 VND for buying, remaining unchanged for selling, currently reaching 26,205 - 26,445 VND/USD.
In the international market, the USD increased for the second consecutive session. The Dollar Index - a measure of the greenback's strength against six major currencies - increased by 0.5% to 97.34 points.
Pepper price today September 19, 2025: Continuously moving sideways
Pepper prices today in key growing areas remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 147,000 VND/kg to 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Lam Dong (old Dak Nong) is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 149,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 149,000 VND/kg.
In addition, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.
In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on September 19 (local time) as follows:
Indonesia’s Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,061 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $10,006 per tonne.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,600/mt.
Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,900/ton.
Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.
In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.
Coffee price today September 19, 2025: Slight decrease of 200 VND/kg
Domestic coffee prices today, September 19, 2025, in the Central Highlands region decreased slightly by 200 VND/kg in Dak Nong compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 115,800 - 116,500 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 116,500 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 116,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged from yesterday and were traded at VND116,200/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged from yesterday at VND115,800/kg.
On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached $4,665/ton, down 0.06% ($3/ton) compared to yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract fell 2.5% ($111/ton) to $4,336/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2025 decreased by 0.86% (3.3 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 377.55 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 1% (3.6 US cents/pound), reaching 357.65 US cents/pound.
On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2025 decreased by 0.76% (3.55 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 458.35 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 0.74% (3.45 US cents/pound) to 456.15 US cents/pound.
Oil price today September 19, 2025: Decreased due to weak fuel demand in the US
Brent crude fell 0.3% to $67.27 a barrel on September 19, while WTI crude fell 0.3% to $63.38 a barrel. Both crudes are still on track for their second consecutive weekly gain.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 18. Specifically as follows:
- E5 RON92 gasoline price increased by 230 VND, to a maximum of 19,986 VND/liter.
- RON95 gasoline price increased by 208 VND, reaching 20,608 VND/liter.
- E10 RON 95-III gasoline price increased sharply by 560 VND, reaching 20,600 VND/liter.
- Diesel oil increased by 62 VND to 18,705 VND/liter.
- Kerosene price increased by 176 VND to 18,544 VND/liter.
- Fuel oil price increased by 40 VND, to 15,130 VND/kg.
During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund.
