The price of SJC gold bars, as listed by DOJI Group, is 131-133 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price). At the same time, the price of gold bars listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) and PNJ is also 131-133 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price).
Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 132-133 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited, gold bars were traded at 131-133 million VND/ounce (buying and selling).

Silver prices this afternoon, September 20th: Rising sharply, maintaining an upward trend.
At Phu Quy system, the price of silver on the morning of September 20th increased by 51,000 VND/ounce for buying and 58,000 VND/ounce for selling, reaching 1,653,000 - 1,704,000 VND/ounce. This is the second consecutive day of increase, indicating that domestic demand is showing signs of improvement.

In Hanoi, the price of silver listed by businesses ranges from 1,359,000 to 1,393,000 VND per tael, an increase of 22,000 VND in both buying and selling prices compared to the morning of September 19th. In Ho Chi Minh City, the selling price also increased by about 30,000 VND per tael, contributing to a slight rise in the overall price level.
On the global market, spot silver surged to $43.150 per ounce, $1.137 higher than the same time the previous day. This upward trend shows no sign of stopping, indicating that investors continue to have confidence in the precious metal's bullish prospects.
USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 20th: Declining for the second consecutive week.
As of 6:00 PM on September 20th, the central USD exchange rate stood at 25,186 VND/USD, marking a significant decline compared to its peak a few weeks ago.
During the week of September 15-19, the central USD exchange rate decreased by another 30 dong, following a 32 dong drop the previous week. On the free market, the USD exchange rate fluctuated sharply, falling by as much as 510 dong during the week. At the end of trading on September 19, the buying and selling prices reached 26,440 - 26,540 VND/USD respectively.
At banks, fluctuations were smaller compared to the free market. Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 26,175 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,445 VND/USD, a decrease of 31 dong compared to the end of last week on the selling side, while the buying side increased by 9 dong.
BIDV also listed the exchange rate at 26,202 - 26,445 VND/USD, with the buying price decreasing slightly by 6 dong.
On the international market, the DXY index – a measure of the US dollar's strength against a basket of six major currencies – rose 0.5% to 97.6 points. This represents a recovery after hitting a low of 96.22 points, the lowest level since February 2022. This development occurred immediately after the US Federal Reserve (FED) decided to lower interest rates.
Pepper prices today, September 20, 2025: Remaining stable.
Today's pepper prices in key growing regions remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Therefore, the average domestic pepper price is between 147,000 VND/kg and 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is 149,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai also remains unchanged from yesterday at 149,000 VND/kg.
Additionally, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on September 20th (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$7,027/ton. Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,957/ton.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,600 per ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,700/tonne. Similarly, ASTA white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$12,900/tonne.
Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) is 6,600 USD/ton; and the price of 550 gr/l is 6,800 USD/ton.
In addition, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,250 per ton.
Coffee prices today, September 20, 2025: Sudden sharp drop.
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, September 20, 2025, suddenly dropped sharply by 5,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 110,800 and 111,500 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the former Dak Nong region are buying coffee at a maximum of 111,500 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 5,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 111,500 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 5,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province have fallen sharply by 5000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 111,200 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices dropped sharply by 5000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 110,800 VND/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery reached $4353 per ton, down 6.69% ($312 per ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 futures contract fell 7.02% ($312 per ton) to $4153 per ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery fell 4.07% (15.55 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 365.3 US cents/pound. The March 2026 contract fell 4.15% (15 US cents/pound), reaching 346.25 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery fell 4.74% (21.75 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 436.6 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract fell 1.1% (4.85 US cents/pound), reaching 432.95 US cents/pound.

Oil prices today, September 20, 2025: Falling again due to abundant supply.
The weekend trading session saw oil prices fall. Brent crude closed at $66.68 per barrel, down 76 cents (1.1%). US WTI crude fell 89 cents (1.4%) to $62.68 per barrel. Despite the day's decline, both crudes still recorded their second consecutive weekly gain.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced new retail fuel prices effective from 3 PM on September 18th. Specifically, they are as follows:
- The price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 230 VND, reaching a maximum of 19,986 VND/liter.
- The price of RON95 gasoline increased by 208 dong, reaching 20,608 dong/liter.
- The price of E10 RON 95-III gasoline increased sharply by 560 VND, reaching 20,600 VND/liter.
- Diesel fuel prices increased by 62 dong to 18,705 dong/liter.
- The price of kerosene increased by 176 dong to 18,544 dong/liter.
- The price of fuel oil increased by 40 dong, to 15,130 dong/kg.
During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not allocate or utilize funds from the Price Stabilization Fund.
