USD exchange rate on September 9th: State Bank of Vietnam lowers central exchange rate to 25,236 VND/USD.
On the morning of September 9th, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate at 25,236 VND/USD, 12 VND lower than the end of last week. This marks the start of the new trading week amidst the USD Index hovering around 97.87 points.
The selling price of USD at many major banks decreased this morning. Vietcombank listed the rate at 26,147 - 26,497 VND/USD (buy - sell), down 13 VND in both directions compared to the previous session. BIDV maintained the buying price at 26,140 VND/USD and the selling price at 26,500 VND/USD.
Techcombank announced the exchange rate at 26,120 - 26,497 VND/USD, with the buying price unchanged but the selling price decreasing by 13 VND after the holiday. ACB listed the rate at 26,180 - 26,497 VND/USD, maintaining the buying price but lowering the selling price by 13 VND.
In the free market, the USD/VND exchange rate this morning showed no change compared to the previous session, generally around 26,915 - 27,015 VND/USD.

Today's pepper prices in key growing regions remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Therefore, the average domestic pepper price is between 150,000 VND/kg and 152,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 152,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 152,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is 151,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai also remains unchanged from yesterday at 151,000 VND/kg.
Additionally, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.
On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on September 7th (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$7,086/tonne. Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$10,042/tonne.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,600 per ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,700/tonne. Similarly, ASTA white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$12,900/tonne.
Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) reached US$6,240/ton; and the price of black pepper (550 gr/l) reached US$6,370/ton.
In addition, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,150 per ton.
Coffee prices today, September 9, 2025: Prices remain stable at the beginning of the week.
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, September 9, 2025, remain unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 112,000 and 113,300 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the former Dak Nong region are buying coffee at the highest price of 113,300 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province remains unchanged from yesterday at 113,200 VND/kg.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged compared to yesterday, trading at 112,800 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday, at 112,000 VND/kg.
On the London exchange, online robusta coffee futures contracts for September 2025 delivery reached $4,562 per ton, up 2.1% ($94 per ton) from yesterday. The November 2025 contract rose 1.16% ($50 per ton) to $4,359 per ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery rose 0.35% (1.35 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 386.95 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract increased 1.7% (6.35 US cents/pound), reaching 380 US cents/pound.
On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery fell 0.04% (0.2 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 487.55 US cents/pound. The December 2025 contract increased 1.43% (6.6 US cents/pound), reaching 466.55 US cents/pound.
Rubber prices today, September 9, 2025: Slight decrease across the board.
In Singapore, October 2025 rubber futures prices fell 0.5% ($0.9/tonne) compared to yesterday, to $177.8/tonne. November 2025 futures contracts fell 0.67% ($1.2/tonne), reaching $178.4/tonne.
At the opening of trading on September 9th in China, the price of September 2025 rubber futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) fell 0.43% (60 yuan) to 13,985 yuan/tonne. The price of October 2025 rubber futures fell 0.6% (85 yuan) to 13,995 yuan/tonne.
At the time of this survey, the price of RSS3 on the TOCOM Commodity Exchange (Tokyo) for September 2025 delivery decreased by 0.03% (0.1 Yen/kg) compared to yesterday, to 324.6 Yen/kg. The October 2025 contract increased by 0.19% (0.6 Yen/kg), reaching 324.4 Yen/kg.
Cocoa prices today, September 9, 2025: Sharp decline across the board.
As of 4:00 AM on September 9, 2025, cocoa prices traded on the New York exchange for September 2025 delivery decreased by 2.82% (US$215/ton) compared to yesterday, to US$7420/ton. The December 2025 futures contract decreased by 2.62% (US$196/ton), reaching US$7275/ton.
At the time of this survey, London cocoa prices for September 2025 delivery were down 2.4% (123 GBP/tonne) compared to yesterday, at 4998 GBP/tonne. The December 2025 contract fell 1.83% (94 GBP/tonne), reaching 5050 GBP/tonne.
