Twins born on April 30th in Nghe An province have been named Thong Nhat (Unity) and Hoa Binh (Peace).

On the morning of April 30th, the atmosphere at the Obstetrics Department of Vinh City General Hospital (Nghe An province) was even more special, as twin boys were born during a sacred moment, the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.

Immediately after the birth, the doctors and nurses shared the first moments of the two little angels' lives alongside the red flag with a yellow star, as a simple yet sacred greeting to the nation. That image quickly spread on social media, becoming a touching symbol on this important holiday.

According to doctors at the Obstetrics Department of Vinh City General Hospital, pregnant woman NTT (born in 1990, from Do Luong district, Nghe An province) was admitted earlier and gave birth at 8:38 AM on April 30th.

After a smooth labor, the two baby boys were born healthy, weighing 2.8kg and 2.5kg respectively.
"That moment was beautiful. It was a gentle reminder of the value of independence and peace, things that seem simple but were bought with the blood and sacrifices of countless generations," a healthcare worker shared emotionally.

Ms. NTT, the mother of the two children, shared emotionally: “The birth of our children coincided with a very important national holiday. My family decided to name them Nguyen Thong Nhat and Nguyen Hoa Binh as a message of love. We hope they grow up healthy, live decent lives, love their homeland, and cherish peace.”
Immediately after the images went viral, many people left congratulatory comments, praising the meaningful choice of names by the family. "In 50 years, when the children grow up, they can tell that they were born on the day of national reunification, something to be truly proud of," one user wrote.
