(Baonghean.vn) - Shortly after they started dating, Anh was asked by her boyfriend to find customers for drugs. Instead of stopping him, Anh became Toan's invaluable assistant.

Lovers fall in love with each other, and so do drugs.
Ha Van Toan (28 years old, residing in Muong Ngoc commune, Que Phong district) and Vi Ngoc Anh (30 years old, residing in Kim Son town, Que Phong district) were both born on March 8th. However, this coincidence did not make the couple "famous"; it was their shared use of drugs and involvement in drug trafficking that made them "famous."white goodsTherefore, this couple became well-known to many people.
Before being brought to trial by the Nghe An Provincial People's Court, Toan had previously been sentenced to 7 years in prison for drug-related offenses. Thanks to good behavior, Toan was released from prison early in 2018 and returned to his hometown to make a living. Since his release, Toan has had the opportunity to meet a girl two years older than him named Vi Ngoc Anh.

"She's two years older, he's one year older," they both decided to overcome the age barrier to be together. During their relationship, Anh was often invited by her boyfriend to use drugs together. Becoming addicted to this substance only strengthened their bond. After dating for a while, Anh was invited by Toan to help find customers for drugs to make money. Instead of stopping him, Anh became his invaluable assistant.

Specifically, in early July 2020, Ha Van Toan was working in the forest cutting wood when he met a Hmong man named Cua. This man asked Toan to find someone to buy drugs, quoting a price of 130 million VND for 1 kg of methamphetamine. Toan was given a package of pink ecstasy pills for personal use and promised 10 million VND as payment, so he agreed.

Back home, the person Toàn approached to share his "secret" to making money was none other than his girlfriend. Vi Ngọc Ánh readily agreed and contacted a man in Thái Hòa town to help find clients.

After finding a customer, on July 18, 2020, the couple met their "partner" at a motel. There, Toan and the "customer" agreed to buy 1 kg.drugfor 130 million VND. Immediately after finding a buyer for the drugs, Ha Van Toan contacted Cua to get the "goods".

On the afternoon of July 19, 2020, Toan drove Anh to pick up the drugs, then hid them in a bush and arranged a meeting place to deliver them to the customer. When Toan went to retrieve the "goods" to deliver to the buyer, the police discovered and seized 830.805 grams of drugs. A search of Toan's residence revealed an additional 15 grams of drugs that a man named Cua had given him earlier.
Sentenced to life imprisonment
Based on Toan's testimony, authorities arrested Vi Thi Anh. Ha Van Toan was simultaneously prosecuted for two crimes: "Illegal trafficking and possession of narcotics," while Vi Ngoc Anh was prosecuted for "Illegal trafficking of narcotics." Before the witness stand, both defendants confessed to their crimes as charged in the indictment. Both expressed remorse and requested leniency so they could have a chance to return and rebuild their lives.
But it seems all the remorse of the two defendants came too late. As the mastermind in the case, the court sentenced defendant Ha Van Toan to life imprisonment for "Illegal trafficking of narcotics" and 7 years imprisonment for "Illegal possession of narcotics," resulting in a total sentence of life imprisonment.

Defendant Vi Ngoc Anh, who actively assisted defendant Toan, was sentenced by the court to 20 years in prison for "illegally trading in narcotics." Regarding the drug seller named Cua, since the two defendants did not know his specific address, the authorities had no basis to prosecute him.
After his first major misstep in life, Ha Van Toan "corrected his mistake" with a life sentence. His mistress, Vi Ngoc Anh, blindly followed the path of crime for money, ultimately receiving a 20-year prison sentence. Because of drugs, this couple, born on the same day and month, ended up in prison together on the same day...
