A couple in Nghe An province used heroin to pay workers who worked on their farm.
(Baonghean.vn) - Hiding a block of heroin to pay a farmhand, the couple Gia Chong Lau and Va Y Xi were caught red-handed by law enforcement.
At approximately 11:00 AM on June 9th, the police forces of Muong Tip, Bac Ly, Bao Nam, and Huoi Tu communes, in coordination with the Nam Can International Border Gate Customs Sub-department and My Ly Border Guard Post, successfully cracked Case 685K, arresting a married couple, Va Y Xi (born in 1957) and Gia Chong Lau (born in 1949), both residing in Nhot Kho village, Bac Ly commune (Ky Son district), along with the seized evidence: one block of heroin.heroin.

According to the initial statements of the suspects, the drugs were purchased in 2020 from a man (of Lao nationality) with the intention of paying drug addicts in the area who were hired by the couple to work on their family's farm.
The total weight of the seized heroin was determined to be 236.28 grams.
