(Baonghean.vn) - When the two subjects were transporting 15kg of drugs to Van, the police raided and arrested them. This was a drug trafficking ring from Laos, then brought to Ho Chi Minh City for consumption.
Released from prison after 15 years of serving a sentence for illegal drug trafficking, without a stable job and addicted to drugs, Hoang Nghia Van (born in 1975), permanent resident of Hamlet 7B, Hung Long Commune, Hung Nguyen District, currently living in Trung Duc Apartment, Vinh City, suddenly became unusually rich. Van bought an apartment and a billion-dollar car. It was Van's rapid and suspicious wealth that caught the attention of criminal investigators (Vinh City Police).
Through professional work, Vinh City Police identified a drug trafficking ring with large quantities, transnationally from Laos to Vinh City for consumption and transit to the southern provinces. After a long time of monitoring and understanding the situation of the subjects, Vinh City Police established the leader of this criminal ring, that is Hoang Nghia Van.

This is a very sophisticated subject, with many tricks to deal with the police force. On May 7, 2019, Vinh City Police established Project 519M to fight and dismantle all subjects in the illegal drug trafficking ring.
The two cousins are the "right-hand men" of the "drug lord"
In order to avoid detection by the police, drug lord Hoang Nghia Van established and recruited two loyal disciples, Mua Ba Cho, born in 1983 (Lao nationality) and Mua Ba Va, born in 1988, residing in Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district. Van assigned these two subjects the task of going directly to Laos to buy drugs and then transport them to Nghe An.
Speaking more about Van's two disciples, these are two people who are very good at Lao, as well as familiar with the terrain and customs of Laos, so the process of crossing the border and going deep into Laos to buy drugs is not difficult for Mua Ba Cho and Mua Ba Va (According to research, Mua Ba Cho was born in Laos, then his parents sent him to Ky Son district to study, and when he was 16 years old, he returned to Laos to live). In addition to the two trusted disciples above, the boss also has dozens of other subjects ready to take on tasks when Van requests.

Capturing the drug lord and his two "disciples"
While monitoring all movements of the subjects in Project 519M, on May 27, 2019, detectives discovered Mua Ba Cho from Laos coming to Vinh City to meet boss Hoang Nghia Van at Vinh market intersection to receive 80,000 USD and get on a bus to move to Huong Son district, Ha Tinh.
At 1:00 a.m. on June 1, 2019, Mua Ba Cho and Mua Ba Va appeared in Son Kim commune, Huong Son, Ha Tinh, traveling by motorbike to the center of Huong Son district. Believing that the subjects would deliver drugs to Hoang Nghia Van, the task force directly asked for the opinion of Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police to decide to solve the case.

During the monitoring process, the police force discovered about 10 subjects driving motorbikes along the central route of Pho Chau town (Huong Son district, Ha Tinh) with the purpose of keeping watch for the drug trafficking of drug lord Hoang Nghia Van. However, with sharp and sensitive professional measures, at 4:00 a.m. on June 1, 2019, on National Highway 8A in Son Tay commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh, the Task Force arrested Mua Ba Cho and Mua Ba Va red-handed while driving a motorbike carrying many bags of drugs, weighing 15kg of crystal meth.
To ensure absolute secrecy and surprise during the arrest of the subjects, at the same time, the Task Force decided to arrest Hoang Nghia Van while he was waiting to receive the goods in Pho Chau town, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh, to his own shock and astonishment. During the arrest, the police seized Hoang Nghia Van's assets including: 16,000 USD, 01 Honda CRV car, license plate 37A - 536.51, 2 mobile phones.

At the police station, all three subjects confessed and admitted their crimes. Currently, Vinh City Police are detaining three subjects Hoang Nghia Van, Mua Ba Cho and Mua Ba Va for illegal drug trafficking and are continuing to investigate and expand the case.
The successful discovery of Project 519M demonstrates the strong determination from the leaders to the officers and soldiers of Vinh City Police in implementing the peak plan of propaganda, attack and suppression of drug crimes on the Vietnam - Laos border in conjunction with the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control in 2019.
