Russian boy goes viral: 'I don't want to go to school. Help!'

September 1st is "Knowledge Day" or "First Bell" in Russia, when students head to school with their backpacks to begin the new school year. However, for a small schoolboy in a video that is going viral in Russia, it's not a happy occasion.

"No! I don't want to go to school!" the boy whined as his parents dragged him to school.

According to RT, faced with the boy's refusal, his parents were forced to play the "good cop, bad cop" game (meaning one person uses a friendly approach, while another uses threats to force a third party to believe the "good cop" and do what they want).

"The teachers will teach you how to write, and you'll do your homework too!" the boy's mother persuaded. Meanwhile, a man's voice, presumably his father's, warned, "If you let go, you'll fall onto the sidewalk!"

The attempt to persuade him to go to school became dramatic when another student walked by and said, "Come on, little friend, I advise you against it… I’ve been there (the school) for four years already."

Helpless because he couldn't convince his parents to let him stay home, the little student cried and shouted, "Is anyone there? Help me! Help!" Meanwhile, his parents themselves burst into laughter at this moment.

The adorable video quickly captured the hearts of many viewers. This "distressing" moment reminded some of their childhood, when they loved playing and didn't want to go to school because they felt the summer break wasn't long enough.

This year's Knowledge Day in Russia falls on a Sunday, allowing millions of children across the country a little extra time to play before donning their uniforms and heading to school.
