According to Bui Van Thu, a student of class 12C10 at Nguyen Sy Sach High School, on June 19, 2022, after taking a mock exam at school, she and her classmate Nguyen Duc Manh were on the same motorbike on their way home when they collided with a car in Nam Thai Commune (Nam Dan). The traffic accident in the late afternoon left both students seriously injured. Thu broke her left leg, Manh had a crushed right femur. The two students were rushed to a hospital in Vinh City for treatment by their families.

After more than 3 weeks of treatment, both of them had surgery on their lower legs. Thu's injury was temporarily stable, she could move with crutches and a stretcher with the support of her relatives, so she studied by herself and took the High School Graduation Exam. As for Manh, due to his severe injury, he was still being treated in the hospital until the day of the exam.
Understanding Thu's situation, the exam support team at Nguyen Sy Sach High School has assigned staff to pick up and move Thu quite thoughtfully. Every exam day, she is picked up at home by a "free taxi" team from the exam support team at the exam site. When she arrives at school, a team of young volunteers uses a stretcher to move her from the yard to the exam room and vice versa.
Thu was on the second floor, so moving up and down the stairs was difficult. People used a stretcher to carry her. Because Thu's wound was still painful and had not healed, the volunteers had to be very careful when moving her up and down the stairs and in and out of the car.

Thu's house in Trang Den hamlet, Nam Hung commune (Nam Dan) is about 14 km from the Nguyen Sy Sach High School exam site. Going back and forth continuously would be inconvenient, especially when moving from the yard to the house or from the yard to the exam room, so Thu chose to take a lunch break at school. She only goes back and forth once a day. During her lunch break at school, in addition to the care of her parents, Thu also received the care and help of young volunteers.
At the end of the exam days, when saying goodbye to the exam site, Thu's parents were extremely moved and expressed their sincere thanks for the school's care, especially the volunteer youth team, who enthusiastically helped Thu and her family throughout the exam. Thanks to that care, Thu felt secure and motivated to do her test and complete her graduation exam.

It is known that this exam in Thanh Chuong district has 6 exam sites with the participation of more than 2,000 candidates. The Nguyen Sy Sach High School exam site alone has 392 candidates. Accompanying the exam site are 30 volunteers who are members of the Xuan Lam cluster youth union and students of the school. The youth support team here organizes many practical activities, such as free luggage storage, free water and lemonade, food support for candidates who want to stay at school, support for free taxis and buses... As for the candidate with a broken leg, the team has researched in advance and made a specific support plan from pick-up and drop-off, providing necessary necessities...
Sharing her joy after the final exam, Thu said: I thank the school and the volunteers at the exam site for their attention. Without everyone's help, I would not have been able to complete the exam. I did not study much for this exam, but I did okay on the test. With what I did, I think my score was not very high. Before the accident, I intended to apply to Vinh University, but now I don't know how to take the exam under these conditions.

In recent days, while his classmates and schoolmates were taking their graduation exams, Nguyen Duc Manh had just been discharged from the hospital for 2 days. Manh said: "I am very sad because I cannot take the exam. I miss my class and really want to take the exam with my friends." Currently, hisMy right thigh is still swollen and painful. I will go home for a while and then go back to the hospital for a check-up.
After the accident, Manh suffered a broken right femur and had to undergo surgery several times. In the past few days, he has been lying and sitting in one place, unable to move, his thigh is still swollen and painful. Due to the severity of his injuries, Manh was specially recognized by the school as a graduate. On this occasion, representatives of the youth volunteers at the Nguyen Sy Sach High School examination site visited Manh's house to visit and encourage him, hoping that he would try his best to get treatment and recover soon.

Manh is the youngest of three children, his father passed away many years ago. Manh and Thu are cousins, both are good and hard-working students, having been awarded the title of excellent student for many years. The traffic accident before the exam forced Manh to drop out, while Thu tried very hard to take the exam. Hopefully, they will recover soon so that they can continue to pursue their dreams.
