The Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club won third prize at the Vietnam Poetry Day.

(Baonghean.vn) - On February 11th (the 15th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Rooster), the Southern Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club excellently won third prize overall at the 15th Vietnam Poetry Day in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Vietnamese Poetry Day program in Ho Chi Minh City begins on February 11th and includes various cultural activities such as poetry readings, recitations, introductions to famous poetry works, and poetry clubs. The highlight of the poetry day is the "Spring of Affection" poetry night.

The Vietnamese Poetry Day in Ho Chi Minh City featured the participation of numerous literary and artistic clubs, including poetry, music, painting, and folk music clubs from districts, counties, and businesses in Ho Chi Minh City, among which was the Southern Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club. With the slogan "Nghe Tinh Folk Songs in the heart of a civilized, modern, and compassionate city," the club's program garnered significant attention.

During the "Spring of Affection" poetry night held on the Lantern Festival, the Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club opened with a poem by poet Nguyen Hong Oanh and three captivating folk song performances (Inviting Betel; Waiting for a Friend with All My Heart; Nghe Tinh Chanting). At the end of the poetry night, the Southern Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club was awarded third prize by the organizers.

The participation of the Southern Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club not only contributed to making Vietnam Poetry Day in Ho Chi Minh City more rich and solemn, but also allowed folk songs and images of the homeland and people of Nghe An to spread more widely among friends.
