Mason could return to the pitch after fully recovering from his injury.

Mason was rushed to St Mary's Hospital in London after the collision with Cahill. There, doctors performed surgery on his fractured skull to minimize the risk to his life and health.

After the match, Mason received a lot of support and encouragement from coaches and teammates. Among them were Cahill, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, superstar Gareth Bale, and striker Harry Kane.

"Ryan and his family are deeply moved by the support they have received. Thank you so much for all the positive comments in the media and press over the past 24 hours," a Hull club representative said.
