2025 Junior Player won 6-1 against Thailand youth team
During the international tour, the Top 10 Young Players 2025 had a convincing 6-1 victory over the Muangthong United youth team, but coach Hong Son still pointed out areas that need improvement.
Overwhelming 6-1 victory in Thailand
During the international tour in Thailand, the Top 10 Young Players 2025 team won an impressive 6-1 victory over the youth team of Muangthong United Soccer School. This is part of the journey of experience and exposure in the professional football environment of young Vietnamese talents, recorded in episode 9 of the program.
Right from the first minutes, the Junior Football team showed their dominance. Tran Quan opened the score with a precise long-range shot. Immediately after that, the team's continuous pressure caused the opposing team's captain Trunks to score an own goal, increasing the score to 2-0. Before the end of the first half, Bao Long scored a third goal, creating a big advantage for the home team.

In the second half, the game did not change when Quang Huy shone with a double, raising the score to 5-0. An Phu continued to score the sixth goal, affirming the superiority of the Young Player team. The other team only got an honorary goal thanks to Pakawat.
Learning journey at prestigious training center
Before the match, the young players had a training session at Muangthong United Soccer School, one of the prestigious football training centers in Thailand. Manager Virapol Cholubul said the center has a professional training program from the U5 age group to the national teams.
Coach Hong Son emphasized that this was a valuable opportunity for the players to get in touch with the international professional football environment. Before the match, Coach Thawatchai of the other club deployed tactics on the table, while Coach Hong Son had his players practice coordinating straight and diagonal passes.

Experience culture and sportsmanship
In addition to the professional aspect, the trip was also an opportunity for the young players to experience Thai culture. The team’s first stop was the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, where the 33rd SEA Games will be held. They learned about the SEA Games Center, the operations center of the region’s largest sporting event. These activities helped broaden their horizons about professional sports and the spirit of international competition.

Reminder from Coach Hong Son
Although the team won big, Coach Hong Son said he was still not really satisfied. He pointed out important lessons that needed to be learned: “Winning is good, but the players still missed many opportunities. Some finishing situations were still hasty, not really alert in coordinating or choosing passes.” These comments show the high expectations and professional requirements that the coaching staff placed on the young players.
