Thai Van Truong is a 12th grade student at Muong Qua High School located in Mon Son Commune (Con Cuong). The school is home to students from Mon Son and Luc Da Communes, including the Dan Lai ethnic minority community. Truong's recent exam results compared to his peers in the lowlands are not impressive, but this is the highest score a student has ever achieved at the school in Muong Qua.
