(Baonghean.vn) -In the recent National High School Graduation Examination, Thai Van Truong scored 24.4 points, ranking first at Muong Qua High School in Con Cuong district.

Thai Van Truong is a 12th-grade student at Muong Qua High School, located in Mon Son commune (Con Cuong district). The school serves students from Mon Son and Luc Da communes, including the Dan Lai ethnic minority community. While Truong's recent exam results may not be particularly impressive compared to students from the lowlands, they represent the highest score achieved by a student at this school in the Muong Qua region.

Small in stature but quick-witted and very confident in communication, that's the initial impression when meeting this student from a school in the border region. Truong is taking advantage of the summer days to help his parents with household chores. "I will apply to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, majoring in Information Technology," Truong shared.

For 12 consecutive years, Truong was an all-around excellent student, excelling in all subjects. "I don't know which subject I'm best at because I think they're all important." However, English was the subject that helped Truong achieve the best results in the provincial-level student competitions. In 9th grade, he won third prize, and in 11th grade, he received an honorable mention.

This student from the border school is also known as a talented artist at his high school in Muong Qua. His forte is Nghe Tinh folk songs. "In 5th grade, I won first prize at the provincial folk song festival. In 9th grade, I received an honorable mention," Truong said.
