Con Cuong tea trees yield good yields and sell for good prices.
(Baonghean.vn) - Thanks to favorable weather and good care, Con Cuong farmers are currently harvesting well from tea plants.
Previously, on the 7 sao of hilly land of Mr. Vi Van Hoi's family in To village, Yen Khe commune (Con Cuong district), only low-yield crops were grown; at times the land was left fallow. After many years of not finding suitable crops, in 2012, he invested in growing tea, a traditional crop in the area.
After 6 years of harvesting, the tea now has an average selling price of 4,000 VND/kg of tea buds. Each crop, Mr. Hoi harvests nearly 2 tons of tea, after deducting expenses, he has a profit of about 7 million VND.
