Visitors to the Van Phuc spring flower market (Ha Dong) were amazed by the image of a peach tree with half trunk and half driftwood still blooming. It became the most "strange" peach tree on sale here.
The peach tree is decades old, with one side of its trunk drifting away, leaving only the bark but still firmly attached to the main base.
The owner of the peach tree said that this driftwood was originally a main branch, but over the years it has been worn away, leaving only the bark.
This difference gives the peach tree its own unique look: the driftwood trunk hugs the base softly like a small dragon. Tree enthusiasts can completely preserve this driftwood with just a few small techniques: mix sawdust and glue together into a wax-like substance, then apply it to this seemingly fragile driftwood.
Because of that difference, the peach tree became the most unusual tree in the Van Phuc spring flower market in 2017.

It looks rough and rotten on the outside, but it still clings tenaciously to the main body. |
