Man who blocked his love rival's car was run over and killed.
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Police, a dispute related to a romantic relationship recently occurred in Pleiku City. In a fit of anger, Nguyen Van Toan (born in 1984) accelerated his car and fatally struck a person.
According to initial information, at approximately 1:45 AM on August 20th, Lai Duc Chung (born in 1983, residing on Le Dai Hanh Street) and Le Ngo Vinh Phat (born in 1993, residing in Group 8, Ia Kring Ward) drove a car with license plate 81A-1253 to the house of Nguyen Van Toan (born in 1984, residing at 02B, Duy Tan Street, Dien Hong Ward, Pleiku) to resolve a conflict related to a romantic relationship.
Upon arrival, Chung and Phat got out of the car and went into the house to talk to Toan. At this time, Toan was sitting in his car with license plate 81A-116.20 (the car was parked in Toan's yard).

Seeing this, Chung ran to stand in front of the car, while Phat ran to his own car to get a 90cm long knife, then ran to slash at the right side of Toan's car. In a fit of anger, Toan accelerated and crashed straight into Chung. As a result, Chung was taken to Gia Lai General Hospital for emergency treatment but died later.
After the incident, Toan drove away from the scene. When the car reached the intersection of Le Thanh Ton Street (in Ia Kring Ward), it overturned. Subsequently, the suspect went to the Dien Hong Ward police station to surrender and confessed to all his crimes.
Authorities are currently investigating to determine the cause of the incident.
