The disabled young man's performance of traditional Vietnamese folk songs moved Hoai Linh to tears.

Meritorious Artist Le Minh Chi, a young man with paralyzed legs, recounted his life story through his singing in "The Road to Famous Cai Luong Singers".

The final episode of the traditional singing talent competition aired on the evening of April 1st. Le Minh Chi, from the team of Meritorious Artist Thoai My, was one of the three contestants in the final round. The young man from Bac Lieu performed the song "Dream Kite."

On stage, the contestant, who uses crutches, performed a skit about his true story. He had once been ridiculed by the host of a party because of his physical disability. The young man sadly recalled the reason for his leg disability. As a child, during a stormy night, he had a high fever, but his parents couldn't take him to the doctor because their boat – their only means of transportation – had been swept away by the water.

Through his traditional Vietnamese folk song, he expressed his sympathy for his family's hardship. He didn't resent his parents for not being able to afford his medical treatment. The contestant reminisced about happy and peaceful days with his family. Growing up with a disability in one leg, he was still happy because of his family's love. Below the stage, Minh Chi's parents broke down in tears because of their son's performance.

Watching the performance, Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh repeatedly wiped away tears. He praised the young man's performance for evoking strong emotions in the audience. "Raising and educating a child is difficult, but overcoming those difficulties to help him achieve what he has today is an invaluable achievement. He has physical disabilities, but they have been compensated by the love of his parents," the comedian encouraged.

Judge and Meritorious Artist Thanh Tuan praised the contestant for possessing a rich voice and good rhythm. Minh Chi received an average score of 9.7, lower than Thu Van - a contestant from the same team - who scored 9.8. He received the joint runner-up prize along with contestant Le Van Gan - from Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long's team - with a prize worth 100 million VND.

In the final night, Thu Vân – a student of Meritorious Artist Thoại Mỹ – performed the play "Duyên nghiệp" (Destiny and Profession), which tells the story of impoverished artists. She played a coffee vendor in the market, who was originally an anonymous artist. Ten years earlier, she was misunderstood by the fiancée of a fellow performer and threatened to ruin his theater troupe, causing him to leave. Tormented by guilt, she gave up singing and was encouraged by the young man's mother to return to the stage.

*Thu Vân performed the song "Duyen Nghiep" (Destiny and Karma).

Judge Hoài Linh praised Thu Vân's smooth singing voice, wide vocal range, and expressive performance. Her performance received two perfect scores of 10 from Meritorious Artist Thanh Tuấn and Thanh Kim Huệ. She became the champion of the first season of "Road to the Famous Cai Luong Singer" with a prize worth 300 million VND.

Thu Vân is a familiar voice on amateur cải lương (Vietnamese traditional opera) stages. The contestant from Can Tho won the Golden Bell Award for traditional opera in 2009.

In the final night, coach and artist Ngoc Huyen and her student Ngoc Quyen did not appear. Previously, they withdrew from the game show due to disagreements over the script.
