Notably, 91% of passion fruit is sold as fruit after harvesting. Uu Dam Company is the unit participating in this export. Accordingly, instead of exporting passion fruit pulp as before, the company accepted the risk and chose to export 2 tons of whole frozen passion fruit as requested by the Vietnamese Trade Office.

The Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia stated that this fruit retains its flavor after freezing due to the natural structure of its peel. Notably, the soil conditions have contributed to Vietnam's passion fruit having world-class quality, making it a favorite in demanding culinary markets such as Switzerland, France, and the Netherlands.
Ambassador Nguyen Tat Thanh emphasized that building a brand for frozen whole passion fruit is of significant importance in the context of ongoing negotiations for fresh passion fruit exports to Australia.
The expected selling price offered by Uu Dam Company in Australia is approximately 9 AUD per kg. Compared to other markets, Australia has only opened its doors to four types of fresh agricultural products from Vietnam. According to the Vietnamese Trade Office, Australia is also a major agricultural power, so developing the market and achieving a 27.65% growth in fruit and vegetable exports after 10 months amidst the Covid-19 pandemic required a tremendous joint effort, including a program to build brands and explore market opportunities.
