A new tab can instantly become a ChatGPT conversation. Users don't need to return to the separate ChatGPT application; the workflow is kept seamless with different content types right within the browser.
Contextually aware web assistant
With user permission, Atlas understands the currently open page, related tabs, and login status, thereby providing more relevant responses when researching, shopping, or writing. According to OpenAI, this contextual relevance takes things a step further than the typical ChatGPT experience.
Write directly in the input field.
Inline writing support allows you to reply to emails, edit Google Docs, or fill out forms on the spot, without needing to copy and paste. Atlas can suggest rewriting or refining content anywhere on the web with input fields.
Built-in browser memory
When enabled, Atlas remembers visited pages, started tasks, or explored ideas so it can be recalled when needed. Users can view, edit, or clear the memory at any time, reducing the need to keep too many tabs open.
Natural language control
Atlas allows browser actions to be executed with just a voice prompt, such as: “reopen yesterday’s travel website” or “close my recipe tabs.” These commands are geared towards a more productive experience with fewer interruptions to the workflow.
Agent Mode in preview
Currently in preview for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business users, Agent Mode goes beyond casual chatting: it can research, plan, book appointments, summarize documents, and manage workflows across tabs – all automatically.
User privacy and control
