Europe supplies Ukraine with outdated weapons
A Western journalist pointed out that Europe supplies Ukraine with outdated, unreliable weapons.

According to RIA Novosti on February 8, journalist Lucas Leiroz wrote in an article for InfoBRICS that Europe supplies Ukraine with outdated weapons.
“The number of obsolete weapons has only recently begun to increase. Spain is sending Ukraine CETEME L assault rifles, which were withdrawn from service more than 20 years ago due to low reliability. The French Caesar self-propelled guns have proven to be the worst weapons, with 16 unserviceable guns appearing on the Ukrainian battlefield. About 1,000 mortar shells from Bulgaria and Romania are defective,” the article said.
Journalist Leiroz also noted that the same situation applies to all other types of weapons, because Europe sends outdated weapons, and individual modern weapons cannot play a major role on the front line.
“There are many reasons for this. Western industrialists benefit from the disposal of decommissioned weapons. This is a good way to save money. Meanwhile, Ukraine is forced to accept everything that its allies offer,” – journalist Leiroz pointed out.
Earlier, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Ivan Gavrilyuk stated that about 70% of the weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are assistance from international partners.
Russia believes that supplying weapons to Ukraine will hinder the resolution of the problem, causing NATO countries to directly participate in the conflict and "playing with fire".
