My cousin used a metal cutting machine to break down a door and steal over 5 gold bars to go on a trip.

On March 16th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Bac Ninh Provincial Police announced that they have initiated a criminal case, charged and detained a 16-year-old suspect for stealing over 5 taels of gold from a relative.

Previously, on March 5th, the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Bac Ninh Provincial Police received a report from the Vu Ninh Ward Police, Bac Ninh Province, regarding a theft of over 5 taels of gold from a safe at the home of Ms. Le Thi TH in an apartment at Royal Park in Thanh Son residential area, Vu Ninh Ward, Bac Ninh Province. Immediately after receiving the report, the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Bac Ninh Provincial Police promptly coordinated with the Forensic Technical Department, the Vu Ninh Ward Police, and the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Procuracy to investigate the case.

Acting swiftly, within 10 hours, the police quickly identified the perpetrator of the theft as Nguyen Gia Huy (16 years old), residing in Hamlet 13, Kbang Commune, Gia Lai Province, currently hiding in Gia Lam Commune, Hanoi.

At the police station, Huy confessed honestly: Because Huy was related to Ms. H. and knew that Ms. H.'s family was financially well-off, at around 9:00 AM on February 14th, taking advantage of Ms. H.'s family being away celebrating the Lunar New Year, Huy used a small metal cutting machine to break into Ms. H.'s apartment, cut open the safe, and stole gold rings, gold bean-shaped ornaments, gold spoons, and gold vases, totaling 5.3 taels of gold.

After stealing the gold, Huy went to gold shops in Bac Ninh province and Quy Nhon ward, Gia Lai province, to sell it for a total of 887 million VND. He used this money for personal expenses and travel during the recent Lunar New Year holiday. It is known that Huy frequently stayed in Bac Ninh province, renting hotels and guesthouses and socializing with friends.
