Massage parlor catches fire at night; trapped people brought to safety.
At approximately 11:30 PM on January 17th, a fire broke out on the first floor of house number 11, alley 349 Minh Khai, Vinh Tuy ward (Hanoi). The fire occurred late at night, causing panic among residents in the surrounding area.
According to initial information, the four-story building was used as a massage and hair salon. The fire broke out on the first floor, suspected to be due to an electrical short circuit, and smoke quickly spread to the upper floors, endangering those inside.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Fire and Rescue Police force dispatched 4 fire trucks and numerous officers and soldiers to the scene. The forces quickly implemented firefighting plans and simultaneously organized rescue operations.
Access to the scene was difficult due to the house being located in a narrow alley with numerous tangled power lines. However, the authorities were able to quickly reach the upper floors and safely bring one trapped person down to the ground.
The fire was subsequently brought under control and extinguished, preventing it from spreading to surrounding houses. There were no casualties. Property damage is currently being assessed by the relevant authorities.
The initial cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit. Currently, authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the specific cause of the incident.
