A power line fire caused widespread power outages.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of November 8th, a fire broke out in a high-voltage power line in Hung Dong commune (Vinh City), causing a widespread power outage.

The power lines short-circuited and caught fire.

The fire unexpectedly broke out at around 8:40 PM at power poles number 63 and 70 on Tran Huu Thung Street, Yen Vinh hamlet (Hung Dong commune). The insulated wires on the poles short-circuited and caught fire violently. Residents repeatedly called the Nghi Loc district power company to report the incident, but the power was not cut off, causing the wires to burn brightly.

Around 10 PM, Fire Department No. 1 dispatched one fire truck and seven officers to the scene, and the fire was finally extinguished. The fire caused no casualties but resulted in a widespread power outage and damage to the power grid, the neighborhood's public address system, and the signal transmission lines of telecommunication providers.
