Hotel fire in Binh Thuan, guests panic and jump from upper floors.
When the fire broke out, many panicked people jumped or rappelled down from the upper floors to the ground. A total of 13 people required emergency medical attention due to respiratory distress and injuries sustained while trying to escape the hotel.
By late afternoon on April 29th, three people were still receiving treatment at Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital for respiratory failure and spinal injuries caused by jumping from a height during a fire that broke out and caused suffocation.
Earlier, the Emergency Department of the Provincial General Hospital received a total of 13 people who were admitted for respiratory failure and injuries after trying to escape the hotel as the fire spread. Ten of them requested to be discharged to continue treatment at home after receiving first aid. The majority of the hotel guests were from Binh Thuan province, with the remaining two from Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City.

This morning, family members from the hotel also visited the hospital to inquire about the victims who are still receiving treatment. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the authorities.
Earlier, at around 5:00 AM on April 29th, a fire broke out at the Vien Chau Hotel (Ham My commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province), causing significant property damage. The hotel has five floors, with the fire originating on the ground floor (reception area). At the scene, eight motorbikes and one car were completely destroyed by the flames, and two other cars were also damaged.
Fortunately, thanks to timely intervention, the fire did not spread to other floors. However, when the fire broke out, many guests were staying at the hotel, and in panic, some jumped or rappelled down from the upper floors to the ground, resulting in two people being injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Thuan province reported that after receiving the fire report, they dispatched 4 vehicles and nearly 40 officers and soldiers to the scene to extinguish the fire and conduct rescue operations.
Upon arrival, in addition to extinguishing the fire, the rescue team safely evacuated approximately 10 people who were still trapped on the upper floors of the hotel. After about 15 minutes, the fire was largely brought under control and extinguished.
