Truck carrying cassava catches fire on Violac Pass.

A truck carrying cassava roots was traveling through the Violac pass when the driver discovered the vehicle was on fire. The estimated damage is over 1.7 billion VND.

At approximately 4:00 AM on March 24th, a truck caught fire at Violac Pass on National Highway 24, in Ba To District, Quang Ngai Province, near the border with Kon Tum Province.

Firefighters extinguished the fire on the truck.

A truck with license plate 76C-061.18, driven by Le Sy Khoa, residing in Nguyen Nghiem Ward, Quang Ngai City, belonging to the Thong Nhat Transport Cooperative of Quang Ngai City, was transporting cassava roots through the Violac pass when it caught fire.

The driver stopped the vehicle to extinguish the fire. However, the flames quickly engulfed the entire car. The Quang Ngai Provincial Fire Department dispatched two fire trucks and 20 officers and soldiers to the scene to deal with the blaze.

According to the vehicle owner, the estimated damage is over 1.7 billion VND. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
