Scrap yard fire in Vinh city
A large fire broke out at a scrap yard in Nghi Phong commune, Vinh city, with smoke rising hundreds of meters high.
At around 3:00 p.m. on December 1, a large fire broke out at a scrap yard in Hamlet 9, Nghi Phong Commune, Vinh City.
As soon as the fire was discovered, many people shouted, put out the fire, and reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) mobilized many specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to quickly arrive and extinguish the fire.
After about 30 minutes at the scene, the Fire Police and Rescue Force controlled the fire.
According to the leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police), the location of the scrap yard is isolated, far from residential areas, so the fire did not spread. However, because there are still many fire remnants, the force is still spraying water to completely extinguish it.
