Scrap metal factory catches fire in Vinh City.
A major fire broke out at a scrap yard in Nghi Phong commune, Vinh City, with smoke rising hundreds of meters into the air.
At approximately 3 PM on December 1st, a large fire broke out at a scrap metal workshop in Hamlet 9, Nghi Phong Commune, Vinh City.
As soon as the fire was discovered, many residents shouted for help, tried to put out the fire, and simultaneously notified the authorities.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) mobilized numerous specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene and extinguish the fire.
After about 30 minutes of arriving at the scene, the Fire and Rescue Police force managed to bring the fire under control.
According to the head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police), the scrap yard is located in an isolated area, far from residential areas, so the fire did not spread. However, because there are still many embers, the forces are currently spraying water to completely extinguish them.
