The 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer, a rival to the Toyota Fortuner, is coming to Vietnam.
The 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer, a 7-seater SUV that competes with the Toyota Fortuner and Hyundai SantaFe, has just been launched in the Philippines market before arriving in Vietnam this October.
Recently, Chevrolet seems to be focusing more on the Southeast Asian market, boldly upgrading its new products, with the 2017 Colorado being a prime example. Besides the pickup truck, Chevrolet also introduced the 2017 Trailblazer – a 7-seater SUV that competes with its compatriot Ford Everest and formidable Japanese rival, the Toyota Fortuner. The 2017 version, recently introduced in the Philippines, shares many similarities in interior and exterior design with its Colorado sibling. It is expected to be showcased at the Vietnam Motor Show 2016 in October before its official launch next year.

Safety features such as: Collision/Lane Departure/Tire Pressure Monitoring System (AMS), Parking Assist, Anti-glare rearview mirror, Rain Sensor, Automatic Headlights… are also available on the 2017 Trailblazer. However, these features are only fully available on the top-of-the-line version; lower versions will have fewer features. It is currently unclear whether the 2017 Trailblazer sold in Vietnam will have as many safety and driver assistance features as its counterpart sold in the Philippines.

With its introduction in the Philippines and preparations for its launch in the Vietnamese market in October, and sales beginning next year, the 2017 Trailblazer promises to shake up the 7-seater SUV segment, currently dominated by the Toyota Fortuner, alongside the Isuzu MU-X. Of course, to compete for the top spot with the Japanese king, it will have to contend with the Ford Everest and Hyundai SantaFe, which have relatively good sales figures, second only to the Toyota Fortuner.
