MLee, the "beautiful lady," will compete in Miss Universe Vietnam 2024.
On the evening of July 5th, the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 organizing committee posted an image of contestant Quách Tapiau Mai Ly, known to the audience by her stage name MLee.
This information came as a surprise to many viewers, because MLee was previously a singer and had never participated in any beauty pageant. The fact that singer MLee registered to compete in Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 was something no one had anticipated.
Speaking about her decision to participate in Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, MLee shared:"One of the turning points that led me to become the person I am today was meeting the amazing women around me."
Participating in a reality TV show last year, I had the opportunity to interact with and understand 30 stories – 30 journeys of 30 women. I was inspired and gained immense inner strength from these "female superheroes." I am very proud to have MLee, who is always independent and self-reliant, alongside the unwavering love and support from my "sisterhood."
"Humans in general, and women in particular, are like angels with only one wing, and we must embrace each other to fly together. Coming to Miss Universe Vietnam, I want to prove one thing: the inner strength of women is immense, and when we unite, we can achieve even greater things."
MLee herself knows that she is a newcomer to the beauty pageant field, so she is participating in the competition with a humble attitude and hopes to receive feedback and encouragement from the audience.
Having signed up at the age of 32, MLee knew this was a big challenge for her, she confided:“The Miss Universe competition no longer has an age limit, Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 also allows contestants from 18 to 33 years old to participate, and for MLee there will be no limit at all, including age... why can't MLee? There will be no limit to your starting point!”.
She also doesn't mind being a singer competing, because, according to her, all contestants must strive and each will have their own preparation journey. To prepare for Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, MLee has planned to practice the skills to become a contestant this year.
MLee, whose real name is Quách Tapiau Mai Ly, was born in 1992. She is 1.76m tall, weighs 55kg, and has body measurements of 89-64-94. Before Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, MLee participated in the "Beautiful Sisters Riding the Waves" competition in 2023.The Amazing Race 2019…and has been involved in the arts for over 10 years.
