Operating costs for the VinFast VF 7 after 25,000 km: Only 350,000 VND for maintenance.

After nearly 25,000 km of operation, many VinFast VF 7 owners have expressed surprise at the significantly lower maintenance and fuel costs compared to gasoline-powered C-SUVs in the same segment. Thanks to preferential policies and the unique design of electric vehicles, the cost of maintaining this model is approaching the minimum.

Actual maintenance costs are at a record low.

Mr. Lai Quang Anh (Hanoi), owner of a VF 7 Plus 4WD version, said that the total maintenance cost after nearly two years of use was only 350,000 VND. This figure is considered surprising for car users in Vietnam, who are used to maintenance bills of millions of VND per service for internal combustion engine vehicles.

According to analysis, C-SUV models using internal combustion engines often create a financial burden due to the need for frequent oil and oil filter changes every 5,000 km. Estimated costs range from 1-2 million VND for minor changes and 2-3 million VND for major changes. The total maintenance cost over 3 years for a Mazda CX-5 could reach 15 million VND, while for a Hyundai Tucson it would be around 20 million VND.

Advantages from exclusive charging privileges and driving experience.

Besides maintenance, energy costs are the biggest difference. With the privilege of free battery charging (up to 10 times/month) lasting until February 2029, VF 7 owners almost don't have to worry about fluctuations in gasoline prices. Mr. Quang Anh calculated that if using a gasoline car with an average consumption of 8 liters/100 km, fuel costs would be around 28-30 million VND/year. After 3 years, this amount could reach 90 million VND.

Furthermore, the advantages of electric vehicles are also evident in the practical experience. Owners can comfortably maintain the air conditioning system while waiting for extended periods (1-2 hours) without worrying about emissions or excessive fuel consumption like with gasoline cars. This creates greater value in harsh weather conditions or when waiting in urban areas.

Actual on-the-road price and technological value

Not only is it economical to operate, the VinFast VF 7's price is also optimized through promotional packages. Mr. Hoang Duc Tu (Ho Chi Minh City) shared that, from the listed price of 889 million VND, he received a 6% discount from the "Intense for a Green Future" program and an additional 3% thanks to the trade-in program. As a result, the actual on-the-road price was only over 808 million VND.

In terms of performance, owners rate the driving feel and acceleration of the VF 7 engine as comparable to gasoline models in higher segments. In particular, the integration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) is a major plus. To own a gasoline car with equivalent technology, users typically have to pay over 1 billion VND and bear significantly higher monthly operating costs.
