The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Nghe An province in November 2025 increased by 0.41% compared to the previous month. Of these, 6 groups of goods and services saw price increases, 3 groups remained stable, and 2 groups saw price decreases.

According to Nghe An Provincial Statistics, in November 2025, the price of green vegetables in Nghe An showed no signs of cooling down. The market was experiencing a shortage of vegetables, with supply not meeting demand. Vegetable growing areas in the province were gradually recovering after the rain and storms, so many types of vegetables had to be imported from other provinces. Meanwhile, transportation and fuel costs increased, leading to higher prices. These were the main reasons for the consumer price index (CPI) in November 2025 increasing by 0.41% compared to the previous month and by 2.94% compared to the same period last year.

Of the 11 main consumer goods and services groups, 6 groups saw price index increases compared to the previous month: Transportation increased by 1.57%; Food and food services increased by 1.43%; Other goods and services increased by 0.25%; Beverages and tobacco; Clothing, hats, and footwear all increased by 0.03%; Culture, entertainment, and tourism increased by 0.02%.

There are three groups of goods whose prices remained stable compared to the previous month: Medicines and medical services; Postal and telecommunications services; and Education.

Two industry groups saw a decrease compared to the previous month: Household equipment and appliances decreased by 0.03%; Housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials decreased by 2.29%.

On average, the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 2.16% in the first 11 months of 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year. Eight out of eleven commodity groups increased year-on-year: Medicines and medical services (up 13.32%); Other goods and services (up 4.16%); Housing, electricity, water and construction materials (up 3.71%); Food and catering services (up 3.04%); Culture, entertainment and tourism (up 1.48%); Clothing, hats and footwear (up 1.26%); Beverages and tobacco (up 1.02%); and Household equipment and appliances (up 0.67%). Three commodity groups decreased year-on-year: Transportation (down 4.07%); Education (down 0.6%); and Postal and telecommunications services (down 0.29%).

The gold price index in November 2025 increased by 0.01% compared to the previous month and by 67.35% year-on-year. The average for the first 11 months of 2025 increased by 52.96% year-on-year. Domestic gold prices fluctuated in line with world gold prices.

The US dollar index fell 0.85% compared to the previous month, but rose 2.78% year-on-year. The average for the first 11 months of 2025 was a 3.2% increase year-on-year.

Retail activity continues to be vibrant, thanks to expanded supply-demand connections, a diverse range of goods, and a harmonious combination of traditional and e-commerce.

Trade and service activities in Nghe An province in November 2025 continued their positive growth momentum, thanks to improved trade promotion efficiency, supply-demand connectivity, e-commerce development, and the expansion of domestic and international markets. Businesses leveraged the advantages of new-generation free trade agreements to expand export and import markets, diversify partners and sources of goods, and diversify consumer markets.

Total retail sales of goods and consumer services in November 2025 are estimated at VND 16,504.6 billion, an increase of 4.75% compared to the previous month and a 6.86% increase compared to the same period last year. For the first 11 months of 2025, total retail sales of goods and consumer services are estimated at VND 161,650.2 billion, an increase of 14.24% compared to the same period in 2024.

The scale and growth rate of total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the first 11 months of this year are higher than in the same period of recent years, reflecting the increasing purchasing power and consumer demand among the population, making a positive contribution to the growth of the trade and service sector.
