Nghe An's June CPI increased by 0.26%
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Statistics Office has just announced that the consumer price index (CPI) in June 2023 increased by 0.26% compared to the previous month; increased by 0.74% compared to December 2022 and increased by 1.32% compared to the same period last year.
According to the General Statistics Office, gasoline prices increased following world fuel prices; prices of essential consumer goods and services increased following input material prices; retail electricity prices increased following Decision No. 1062/QD-BCT dated May 4, 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; and hot weather caused an increase in prices of beverages, consumer electricity, and domestic water, which were the main reasons for the CPI increase in June.

Of the 11 main groups of goods and services, 7 groups had price indexes that increased compared to the previous month: Other goods and services increased by 0.21%; Beverages and tobacco increased by 0.21%; Culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 0.19%; Transportation increased by 0.15%; Food and catering services increased by 0.77%; Clothing, hats and footwear increased by 0.06%. Household appliances and equipment increased by 0.05%.
There is one group of goods that decreased in price compared to the previous month, which is housing, electricity, water and construction materials, down 0.31%.
There are 3 index groups that did not change compared to the previous month: Medicines and medical services; Education and Post and telecommunications.

On average, in the first 6 months of 2023, the consumer price index increased by 2.60% over the same period last year. There were 10 groups of goods that increased, including: Education increased by 13.4%; Beverages and tobacco increased by 6.08%; Food and catering services increased by 4.68%; Clothing, hats and footwear increased by 3.15%; Other goods and services increased by 3.07%; Household equipment and appliances increased by 2.21%; Housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials increased by 2.04%; Culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 1.87%; Medicines and medical services increased by 0.20%; Post and telecommunications increased by 0.06%. There was 1 group of goods that decreased compared to the same period, including: Transportation decreased by 5.38%.
The gold price index in June 2023 decreased by 0.81% compared to the previous month, up 1.99% over the same period. The average for the first 6 months of 2023 increased by 0.72% over the same period. Domestic gold prices fluctuated in the same direction as world gold prices.
The US dollar index increased by 0.05% compared to the previous month, down 5.82% compared to the same period. The average for the first 6 months of 2023 decreased by 4.04% compared to the same period.
Trade and service activities in the first 6 months of 2023 took place vigorously with many stimulus, connection, and trade promotion programs being implemented and expanded, diversifying the types of goods, meeting the shopping and consumption needs of the people.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue in June 2023 is estimated at VND 9,561.8 billion, up 2.99% over the previous month, up 9.83% over the same period last year. Accumulated in the first 6 months of 2023, total retail sales of goods and consumer services are estimated at VND 55,408 billion, up 11.98%, of which the first quarter reached VND 27,718.39 billion, up 15.86%; the second quarter is estimated at VND 27,689.61 billion, up 8.35%.
