Details of 7 provincial-level historical and cultural relics in Nghe An in 2018

Comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were Comrade Ho Mau Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, and 14 members of the Provincial Science Council.

During the meeting, the Council members offered many additional suggestions and made revisions to some details in the dossiers of historical and cultural relics submitted for ranking in the second round of 2018.

These documents have been reviewed and approved three times and have been revised numerous times to ensure their scientific accuracy, adherence to historical records, and respect for the sacredness of the local community.

At the meeting, delegates made many contributions to further improve the dossiers. Many council members still had concerns about the figures worshipped at the relics, thus raising questions about the type of relics.

Many delegates suggested that the managing agency, the Department of Culture and Sports, needs to adjust some of the facilities at places of worship, including couplets, signboards, and the names of historical sites.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Le Minh Thong affirmed that all the relics being considered for ranking this time are community relics with great spiritual significance. Therefore, although there were suggestions to revise some signs and names, generally speaking, these relics have existed for many decades and do not need much change. This will meet the aspirations of the majority of people in the areas where the relics are located and visitors from near and far.

At the end of the meeting, the Council unanimously voted to approve 7 sites for recognition as provincial-level historical and cultural relics in the second phase of 2018. As a result, all 14 council members unanimously approved the 7 applications for consideration.

The sites being considered in this round include:

1. The temple dedicated to Grand Chancellor Nguyen Cong Vinh, Phu Yen village, Dien Hoang commune, Dien Chau district.

2. Duc Thanh Hai Temple, Thanh Xuan commune, Thanh Chuong district.

3. Yen Lac Thuong Shrine, Thanh Ngoc Commune, Thanh Chuong District.

4. The ancestral church of the Tran Huu Dai clan, Duc Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

5. Nguyen Dinh Family Church, Vinh Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District.

6. The ancestral church of the Tran Huu Dai clan, Dien Loi commune, Dien Chau district.

7. The ancestral church and tomb of the Le Duy family, Hung Loc commune, Vinh City.
