(Baonghean.vn) - From the beginning of 2015 until now, Pu Hoat Nature Reserve (Que Phong) has paid 7 out of 10 billion VND in forest environmental service fees to 798 households involved in forest protection.with a forest area of ​​37,000 hectares concentrated in Dong Van and Thong Thu communes.

The Pù Hoạt Nature Reserve announced that the remaining 3 billion VND is expected to be paid to the local people before the Lunar New Year.

Forest rangers from the Pù Hoạt Nature Reserve are guiding residents of Chọt village, Tri Lễ commune, Quế Phong district, through the procedures for paying forest environmental service fees.

The policy on payment for forest environmental services in Que Phong has been undergoing positive changes; the awareness of forest owners and contracted households in forest management, protection, and development is gradually improving.
