Over 300 million VND was disbursed to support ethnic minority women who gave birth in accordance with government policies.

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 22nd, in Thanh Son commune, Thanh Chuong district, financial support was disbursed to impoverished ethnic minority households who gave birth in accordance with population policies.

The financial support was provided in accordance with Decree No. 39/2015/ND-CP dated April 27, 2015, of the Prime Minister. Accordingly, Thanh Son commune has 80 beneficiaries who received financial support, each receiving 2 million VND.

Before receiving the money, the beneficiaries unanimously signed a commitment form. If they violate the agreement, the People's Committee of the commune will reclaim the money and return it to the state budget as prescribed. This support will contribute to helping Thanh Chuong district successfully establish another commune with ethnic minority residents who have no third child.

Previously, in Ngoc Lam commune, the payment committee also disbursed funds to 86 individuals totaling 172 million VND. Thus, in this first phase, 166 individuals have received support totaling 332 million VND. In the coming period, in addition to the two resettlement communes of Thanh Son and Ngoc Lam, Thanh Chuong district will continue to review eligible individuals in the remaining communes according to Decree No. 39 to provide further support.
