The car took Uncle Ho back to his hometown
Visiting the Kim Lien National Historical Site in Kim Lien Commune (Nam Dan District, Nghe An Province), many tourists stopped for a long time next to the command car with license plate BA400, which was placed solemnly in the exhibition area. This was the car that took Uncle Ho to visit his homeland for the first time.

According to the guide of the relic site: After 50 years away from home to participate in revolutionary activities, Uncle Ho finally had the opportunity to visit his homeland. That day was June 14, 1957, when the helicopter carrying Uncle Ho landed at Vinh airport, he got off to shake hands and hug everyone.
One thing that surprised the leaders of Nghe An province was that Uncle Ho did not ride in the car prepared by the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee but instead got into an old commando car driven by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Ngoc (Mr. Ngoc was assigned to drive and provide protection for the outer ring).
Knowing that the leaders of Nghe An province and the security forces were worried about his safety, Uncle Ho gently said: "No one can protect me better than the people." Then, Uncle Ho told Mr. Ngoc to drive straight to the center of Vinh city to visit around, waved to the people on both sides of the road, and then headed towards Kim Lien (Nam Dan). Hearing the news of Uncle Ho's visit to his hometown through the radio system, people poured out on both sides of the road from Vinh to Kim Lien to wave to Uncle Ho.
Returning to his hometown after many years away, he still clearly remembered the entrances, gates, the placement of furniture in the house, rows of plants, relatives, neighbors, etc. Whenever there were incorrect arrangements, he would instruct everyone to rearrange them.
Opening the conversation with the villagers, Uncle Ho read two verses: The homeland is full of love and affection/Those fifty years, how much love there was. Before saying goodbye, Uncle Ho told the cadres and people of Kim Lien commune to strive to become a model commune.
On December 8, 1961, when he returned to his hometown for the second time, Uncle Ho happily praised Kim Lien commune for doing well what he had told them to do. For three consecutive years, the Government awarded them three Medals for the work exchange team, the agricultural cooperative movement, and the eradication of illiteracy.
