On the afternoon of August 11th, Vietnam reported 16 new cases of Covid-19, all linked to Da Nang.

The Ministry of Health announced 16 new cases of Covid-19 (BN848-863): including 10 in Da Nang, 4 in Quang Nam, and 2 in Quang Tri. Specifically:

- CASE 848 (BN848): Female; 78 years old; Son Tra, Da Nang

- CASE 849 (BN849): Female; 39 years old; Son Tra, Da Nang

- CASE 850 (BN850): Male; 55 years old; Hai Chau District, Da Nang

- CASE 851 (BN851): Female; 67 years old; Hoa Vang, Da Nang

- CASE 852 (BN852): Male; 40 years old; Son Tra, Da Nang

- CASE 853 (BN853): Male; 14 years old; Son Tra, Da Nang

- CASE 854 (BN854): Female; 70 years old; Hai Chau District, Da Nang

- CASE 855 (BN855): Female; 61 years old; Lien Chieu, Da Nang

- CASE 856 (BN856): Male; 30 years old; Lien Chieu, Da Nang (Epidemiological information on cases is being updated).

- CASE 857 (BN857): Male; 26 years old; Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam. From July 20-23 and 27, 2020, the patient had contact with BN619 and BN731.

- CASE 858 (BN858): Female; 55 years old; Dien Ban, Quang Nam province. From July 9-14, 2020, the patient cared for a sick person at Da Nang Hospital.

- CASE 859 (BN859): Female; 47 years old; Tam Ky, Quang Nam. The patient is the mother and lives with BN841.

- CASE 860 (BN860): Female; 55 years old; Hoi An, Quang Nam (had contact with BN593, BN625, BN547 and BN715).

Currently, patients 857-860 are being isolated and treated at Quang Nam Central General Hospital.

- CASE 861 (BN861): Female; 36 years old; Gio Linh; Quang Tri (had contact with BN750 and BN833)

- CASE 862 (BN862): Female; 66 years old; Huong Hoa, Quang Tri. The patient is the mother and caregiver of BN832 from August 2-7, 2020.

Currently, patients 861-862 are being isolated and treated at the Quang Tri Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital.

- CASE 863 (BN863): Female; 52 years old; Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang 1. Total number of cases: 863 cases

- As of 6 PM on August 11th: Vietnam has a total of 863 COVID-19 cases, including 318 imported cases that were immediately quarantined.

- Number of new cases related to Da Nang since July 25th: 405 cases.

Total number of people in close contact and those entering from epidemic areas who are being monitored for their health (quarantined): 165,983, including:

- Centralized isolation at hospitals: 5,628

- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 27,472

- Home isolation, place of residence: 132,883 3.

According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control:

- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 on the first test: 10 cases.

- Number of cases with two or more negative test results for SARS-CoV-2: 51 cases.

- Number of deaths: 16 cases.

- Number of recovered cases: 399./.
