On the afternoon of July 17, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of Nghe An Center for Disease Control informed: In the past 12 hours (from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on July 17), Nghe An recorded 3 new cases positive for Covid-19 (including 2 cases in Ky Son district and 1 case of a driver from Ho Chi Minh City passing by). The 2 patients in Ky Son district are both members of the same family and had been quarantined in advance.

First new case of Covid-19 infectionis XTD, female, born in 1973. Occupation: Farmer. Address: La Ngan village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district. Patient XTD is the F1 case of patient LVS (in Cham Puong village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district) which was announced earlier. On July 16, patient XTD was quarantined at Chieu Luu Primary School and had samples taken for testing and sent to CDC Nghe An, on July 17 the results confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Second new case of Covid-19 infectionis MTC, female, born in 1994. Occupation: Farmer. Address: La Ngan village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district. Patient MTC is the daughter-in-law of patient XTD and is the F1 case of patient LVS (in Cham Puong village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district) announced earlier. On July 16, patient MTC was quarantined at Chieu Luu Primary School and had samples taken for testing and sent to Nghe An CDC. On July 17, the results confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Third new case of Covid-19 infectionis NNH, male, born in 1985. Occupation: Driver. Current address: Ward 8, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City. On July 13, patient NNH was tested for RT-PCR in Ho Chi Minh City with negative results. On July 15, the patient drove a truck carrying goods from Song Than Industrial Park, Binh Duong province to Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province to deliver goods. At 1:00 a.m. on July 17, patient NNH went to Minh An General Hospital, Quynh Luu district to ask for a rapid Covid-19 test to go to Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province, the rapid test result was positive twice. The patient was immediately quarantined at Minh An General Hospital and samples were sent to Nghe An CDC, on July 17 the test result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Up to now, Nghe An has had157 patientsCovid-19 cases in 12 localities, specifically: Vinh City: 90, Tuong Duong: 21 cases, Dien Chau: 18, Nam Dan: 06, Quynh Luu: 06, Quy Hop: 05, Nghi Loc: 04, Hoang Mai: 02, Ky Son: 02 cases, Do Luong: 01, Nghia Dan: 01, Tan Ky: 01... The cumulative number of patients who tested positive again is 7 patients, of which 01 patient has been discharged from the hospital. The cumulative number of patients who have been cured and discharged from the hospital is 52 patients. The number of patients currently being treated is 102 patients. The cumulative number of patients who have died is 01 patient.

In the past 12 hours, CDC Nghe An received 352 samples (84 F1). Test results have been positive: 03 samples; negative: 223 samples; samples being tested, waiting for results: 126 samples.

In response to the epidemic situation in Ky Son, on the afternoon of July 17, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Ky Son district held an urgent meeting to deploy solutions to prevent and control Covid-19. Attending and directing the meeting was Dr. Pham Dinh Du - Deputy Director of the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province.

The district authorities have temporarily cordoned off and blocked trails and paths for people... People who have been in close contact with the patient have been listed and required to be quarantined at their place of residence according to regulations... Ky Son district has also developed a plan to support food for poor and disadvantaged households in the blockaded area.
