As of 2:00 p.m. on October 17, major gold companies simultaneously listed the price of SJC gold bars at 153.6 million VND/tael for buying and 154.6 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 3.1 million VND/tael in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday.

Along with the increase, 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold were also traded at 151.1 million VND/tael for buying and 153.3 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 3.1 million VND/tael compared to yesterday morning.

There is a difference in the price of gold rings between companies: SJC Company sells for 153.3 million VND; PNJ Company sells for 154.5 million VND/tael, equal to the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong Doji round gold rings.

Slightly higher, Kim Gia Bao's gold ring price is sold at 158 ​​million VND/tael, an increase of 2 million VND compared to yesterday.

Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau's plain gold rings are sold for 160.5 million VND/tael, 5.9 million VND/tael higher than the price of SJC gold bars.

Some small shops this morning pushed the price of SJC gold bars up to 170 million VND/tael for sale. The price of BTMC gold rings on social media sites selling gold has pushed the price up to 175 million VND/tael.

Experts advise people not to buy gold through these channels because the origin of the gold is unclear. Buyers are at risk of buying fake gold, young gold, or being scammed when making cash transactions.

Domestic gold prices have increased sharply due to the influence of world prices. At 2:00 p.m. this afternoon, Vietnam time, world gold reached 4,341.79 USD/ounce, a sharp increase of 75.55 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. With the increase in just the past half day, many investors predict that gold will soon return to the 4,400 USD/ounce mark.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 137.9 million VND/tael.
