The subversive tactics of hostile forces following the death of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Hostile and reactionary forces, as well as political opportunists, are exploiting the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to fabricate and distort all sorts of things. They are releasing offensive articles, images, and videos to distort and deny the contributions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the cause of national construction and defense.

On the social media page of the reactionary terrorist organization Viet Tan, they made many ridiculous statements. They even falsely claimed that "Mr. Trong's regime has exposed intense internal power struggles and a lack of concern for the people's lives." They spread ridiculous and distorted narratives, portraying the General Secretary as "a fanatical follower of Marxism-Leninism," and "suppressing the country's development"...

They created numerous new accounts to post articles denying the achievements of the anti-corruption campaign under the direction of the General Secretary. They fabricated stories such as, "With the General Secretary gone, the furnace is extinguished, and many are following the remnants..." On July 21, 2024, Viet Tan even organized what they called a "Forum for the Dream of Renewal" in the form of a discussion with the theme "What will happen to Vietnam after Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong's death?"

Furthermore, disgruntled and hostile individuals, such as Nguyen Van Dai and Le Quoc Quan, have posted numerous distorted contents claiming that "the anti-corruption campaign will wither away" now that "the great anti-corruption leader has passed away." The aim of these hostile and reactionary forces is to tarnish the image, incite division within the party, and create disunity among the population. This, in turn, aims to generate anxiety about the Party's leadership and the State's governance, undermining unity within the Party, the State, and the people.

In reality, following the passing of a leader who was appreciated by the people and respected by the international community, the subversive activities of hostile forces are considered "unintelligent" and "hoisted by their own petard." In the face of a great personality like General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, hostile and reactionary forces are revealing their cowardly, petty, anti-cultural, and treasonous nature.

Despite their fabricated stories, the hostile and reactionary forces have been boycotted by the online community. They were unable to tarnish the image of a true Communist like General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Through this, the people have seen the ugly face and despicable behavior of these hostile, reactionary, and deceitful individuals who always claim to be "fighting for democracy and social justice."

The whole country recognizes the dignity and character of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was a shining example of revolutionary ethics, a model of a communist soldier, a shrewd and intelligent politician, and an outstanding theorist of the Party, dedicating his entire life to the ideals of national independence and socialism, and to the happiness of the people. The passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has left immeasurable sorrow not only for the Vietnamese people but also for international friends.

Immediately after hearing the news of the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, many heads of state and leaders of major international organizations around the world sent condolences, including leaders of world powers such as General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, President of Russia Putin, President of the United States Joe Biden, President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol, Prime Minister of Japan Kishida Fumio, Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, President of the United Nations General Assembly Dennis Francis, etc.

In addition, major international news agencies such as Xinhua, Granma, AP, Reuters, New York Times, Al Jazeera, Yonhap, DW, BBC, NHK, Fox News, CNBC, etc., all reported on the passing of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and reviewed his achievements, emphasizing his role and accomplishments in the country's development and his skillful diplomacy – "bamboo diplomacy" – which helped enhance Vietnam's position and prestige on the international stage. One must live in such a way as to avoid regret for wasted years, to avoid shame for a petty and cowardly past, so that when one closes their eyes in death they can say: All my life, all my strength, I have dedicated to the noblest cause in the world, the cause of the struggle for the liberation of humankind."

Tens of millions of people also reposted General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's advice: "What's the point of having so much money? You can't take it with you when you die. Honor is the most sacred and precious thing." These words have become a way of life, a motto that many Vietnamese people, especially young people, share on their personal Facebook pages.

In recognition of his exceptionally outstanding contributions, the Party and State have respectfully awarded him the Gold Star Order, the highest honor; but above all, he will forever belong to the Fatherland and the people… Farewell, Comrade, a leader who embodied the dignity and character of the Party, the embodiment of peace, unity, and progress; the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army pledge to wholeheartedly fulfill his wishes, to engrave in our hearts the advice, ‘If you are a person, be a Communist,’ to wholeheartedly and diligently serve the Fatherland and the people, and to steadfastly follow the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho, and previous generations, including you…”

This has exposed the sinister plot of hostile forces and opportunists who are exploiting the General Secretary's death to undermine the Party and the State, tarnish the reputation, and slander the regime. Therefore, each of us citizens should be vigilant, resolutely fight against, prevent, and refrain from spreading or promoting harmful information on the internet.

In this regard, the Nghe An Provincial Police recently summoned and fined three individuals for posting false information about General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
