According toNational Center for Meteorological and Hydrological ForecastingOn March 12th, a cold front will affect the northern mountainous region of Northern Vietnam, then spread to other areas in Northern Vietnam, and the northern and central parts of Central Vietnam. Northeast winds inland will gradually strengthen to level 3; coastal areas will experience winds of level 4-5, with gusts up to level 6 in some places.

From the afternoon of March 12th, the northern mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam experienced cold weather; from the night of March 12th to 13th, Northern Vietnam and the northern central provinces (from Thanh Hoa, Nghe An to Ha Tinh) experienced cold weather. On March 13th, the area from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue experienced cold weather.
During the periodcold airToday, the lowest temperatures in Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam are generally 14-17 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam 11-14 degrees Celsius, and in some high mountainous areas below 10 degrees Celsius; the area from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue generally has temperatures of 16-19 degrees Celsius.
At sea:From late afternoon and evening of March 12th, in the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern South China Sea (including the waters around the Hoang Sa archipelago), the northeast wind will gradually strengthen to level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, with waves reaching 2.0-3.0m, and 3.0-5.0m in the northern South China Sea; the sea will be rough.
From the night of March 12th, the sea area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau, the central East Sea and the western sea area of the southern East Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa archipelago) will experience increasingly strong northeasterly winds of force 6-7, gusting to force 8-9, with waves 2.0-4.0m high and rough seas; the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will experience increasingly strong northeasterly winds of force 6, gusting to force 7, with waves 2.0-3.0m high and rough seas.
Warning:From March 12th to the morning of March 13th, the Northern and North Central regions of Vietnam will experience rain, showers, and thunderstorms in some areas. From the night of March 12th to 14th, the area from Quang Binh to Phu Yen will have rain, showers, with localized moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
