The Vinh-Bangkok route has officially launched.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 8th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province and Vietravel Company held the opening ceremony for the Vinh - Bangkok international flight route.

Attending the opening ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of relevant departments and agencies, along with representatives from Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh provinces.

Representing the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority was Mr. Pham Van Hao - Deputy Director. Representing Vietravel Company was Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky - General Director.

On June 8th, the Vinh - Bangkok flight route officially launched, opening up opportunities to develop the potential for international tourism; and at the same time creating conditions to attract investment, tourism, and socio-economic development in the North Central region.

Not only does the opening of the Vinh - Bangkok route strengthen regional linkages between Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh provinces in building and developing domestic and international tourism products, but it also marks a significant step in Vietravel's strategy of "localizing" Thai tours through direct flights from the provinces to Bangkok.

Following the success of operating charter flights to Thailand from Can Tho, Nha Trang, Da Nang, and Hue in the past, Vietravel, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Nghe An province, is pioneering the launch of a direct flight from Vinh to Bangkok starting in June, marking the beginning of the peak summer tourist season of 2016.

The Vinh - Bangkok route has officially commenced operations with a frequency of one flight per month, departing on June 8th, July 13th, and August 10th, with a flight time of 1 hour and 30 minutes, using an A320 aircraft with 180 seats operated by Thai Vietjet.

The flight package includes round-trip airfare from Vinh to Bangkok and back at 5,290,000 VND, and a promotional tour package from Vinh to Bangkok, Pattaya, and Vinh (5 days and 4 nights) starting from only 6,990,000 VND per person.
