The Vinh - Cam Ranh flight route has officially launched.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 15th, Jetstar Pacific Airlines inaugurated the Vinh - Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa) route.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from Jetstar Pacific Airlines, Vinh Airport, and relevant departments and agencies.

This is a new route operated by Jetstar Pacific Airlines, using a modern Airbus A320 aircraft carrying nearly 180 passengers. It officially launches the first low-cost air service between Vinh and Cam Ranh to serve the travel needs of the people, contributing to the development of tourism and economic trade between the regions.

At 1 PM on December 15th, at Vinh International Airport, Jetstar Pacific Airlines held a ceremony to inaugurate the new route and welcomed the first flight of the route, departing from Cam Ranh and landing at Vinh Airport.

Currently, Vinh Airport handles 28 takeoffs and landings per day. The new Vinh - Cam Ranh route is operated by Jetstar Pacific with an initial frequency of 3 flights per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

At the ceremony, provincial leaders presented flowers to congratulate the first passengers of the Vinh - Cam Ranh route who landed at Vinh Airport.

Mr. Le Hong Ha, General Director of Jetstar Pacific, stated that in the coming period, the airline will continue to develop the market by striving to provide affordable fares, giving people the opportunity to access fast and safe transportation. At the same time, it will contribute to the growth of tourism in local areas and attract international tourists to the Central and Central Highlands regions.

Also on the afternoon of December 15th, Jetstar Pacific continued to launch a new route between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat, with a frequency of one flight per day. Another new route between Hanoi and Tuy Hoa will also be officially operated by Jetstar Pacific from December 16th, 2015.

These are three new routes launched by Jetstar Pacific, following the routes between Hue - Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City - Pleiku, and Chu Lai (Quang Nam) - Buon Ma Thuot, which were inaugurated at the end of October 2015.
